Beautiful fine quality silver and marcasite Riviere necklace with natural faceted flame red paste gems. Very lovely early Art Deco piece in excellent condition. Paste is a type of glass used to imitate gemstones in the 17th and 18th centuries. It can be clear, simulating diamonds, or coloured. Paste is most often found today in antique Georgian jewellery. Collectors highly prize these pieces.
