A stunning vintage 1950s Pygmalion Globe Atlas Powder Compact. Rare and unusual two colour finish with the seas and oceans in silvered chrome and the land picked out in bronze. An early and superior example of a highly collectible piece. This has an interior lid with click fixing and brass inner frame also it's original mirror and sifter with monogrammed puff. The case shows the map of the world with the names of countries and cities as they appeared at the time of manufacture and may have now changed. Some light wear consistent with age and use; see pictures. With a good working hinges and clasps on both outer and inner lids. Presented in pouch as shown.
