A beautifully made vintage statement necklace, dating fom the late 1970s to early 1980s, with an elegant drape and wonderful presence when worn.
The necklace is constructed from multiple fine gold-tone chains, graduating gently and flowing across the neckline. At the centre sits a sculptural floral clasp, finely textured and softly domed, which acts as both a focal point and fastening. The quality and design are reminiscent of high-end European couture costume jewellery of the period.
This is a substantial yet fluid piece, designed to sit comfortably and move naturally when worn. It reflects the bold but elegant jewellery styling of the era and would suit both evening wear and a simple daytime outfit where a statement piece is desired.
The necklace is offered in excellent vintage condition, with the gold-tone finish well preserved and no signs of damage or distortion to the chains. The clasp closes securely.
A lovely example of late 20th-century vintage jewellery, full of character and timeless appeal.
