A beautifully detailed vintage bracelet produced for the Victoria & Albert Museum, inspired by the rich jewellery of the Tudor and Renaissance courts.
The design features a series of ornate quatrefoil panels, each set with deep red glass stones in the style of garnets, accented with black enamel and delicate faux pearls. Fastening with a traditional T-bar clasp, this is a particularly attractive example of the V&A’s high-quality museum reproductions. The look closely echoes the opulent jewels seen in 16th-century portraits by Holbein, where pearls, enamel and richly coloured stones symbolised status and refinement.
